I tried and I tried and I tried. Been searching all morning for some sort of video clip or something of this episode I watched of 7th Heaven (one of my favorite t.v series of all time) once but all I could find was the year, season, episode title and preview. It was in 2004; around the time of America’s last Elections and it was season nine, episode five and the episode was entitled “Vote.”

I am so tired already from all that searching, my head is about to explode.
Anyway; I remember in this episode; as the Camdens or anyone else tried to talk to the children about anything to do with the upcoming Elections or politics; they would tune out and only hear “Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah.”

I have never been that interested in politics before and I would probably be one of those people voting based on emotions and gut feelings. When this whole-thing (Decision 2008) in the U.S; started about a year ago. I thought to myself; wow; this is history in the making; both a black man and a woman fighting so hard to be a great part of history and be the first of their skin-tone or sex to be President of the United States of America and I silently wished I could wrap my head around worldly-issues, listen and understand what they were talking about but I didn’t pay much attention until recently.

I am trying to pay attention; to listen and to understand. Thank goodness for the internet, that has assisted me in catching up. So I have watched the news, read articles, seen interviews, heard opinions; blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. It’s so much four-one-one (information); damn. Now I think America has heard it all and seen it all; no more pulling rabbits out of a hat; I think we are intelligent enough to see where our candidates stand, now. Who will guide this country into its future; whether it is good or bad? Who will take us there ? I want to know who will be the next President of the United States. Will it be seventy-two year old “maverick” and female Vice-President or would we be brave, take a chance on something new and charter untapped territories with the first ever black man for President? Oh, November 4th I anxiously await your revelations. Oh, heavenly father, I pray that we make the right choice and things get better and not worst.

Blah; Blah; Blah; Blah. Less talking, less accusing, less distracting, less avoiding the important matters; more action.
