S 'N'S #8Hello Friends and Children of God,

Happy Sunday Morning to you! (or whatever today is)

Another blessed week has past and it is time for Sunday Show ‘n’ Tell again. This is a weekly Sunday gathering where we get together and share some of our stories and pics (blog post) of our week’s adventures. What did we experience, see, hear, taste, touch, smell that made us feel blessed to be alive. So far many of my Sunday Show ‘n’ Tell visitors don’t really seem to link-up, but I want you to know that what you share here would be here all month long.

I also want you to know that you could link up any day of the week. So it doesn’t matter if you are not reading this on Sunday. I see many post online that would be a good fit for this link-up. This is the perfect place for reflection post, or post where bloggers show us what they have done. So please come join the party.

This week, my brother came to visit and stayed for a week. So my family and I enjoyed his company very much. We baked dinner rolls for the first time, learned about yeast and kneading, tried a cool kitchen hack for removing yoke from an egg, made a scrumptious breakfast, and created more cool Lego creations.

So I hope you enjoy as I share my week’s adventures and I hope you’ll share yours.

My first adventure this week was learning how to dissolve active dry yeast in warm water, the dinner rolls recipe I used, only required that I dissolve the yeast in warm water until the water looked bubbly. Then I mixed the ingredients as instructed, knead the dough (which I did for about 45 minutes) and let it rise for two hours.  I learned that the longer you knead the higher it will rise and the softer the dough will be. After the two hour wait, I continued the preparation process which lead to me forming round balls of dough, to rise until doubled. I left them overnight to bake for breakfast in the morning.

Here is how the balls doubled in size, they where very soft and fluffy looking.

Here is how they looked after I baked them. Everyone in the house, including my brother (my house guest) and the kids loved these rolls. That was a blessing to my heart.

I also chopped potatoes, onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, bacon and a Jalapeno. Stir-fried potato, and the mushrooms and bacon, separately. Then mixed them together, saute them with the vegetables, add some herbs and spices and made a delicious “Bacon Hash,” this is what my brother calls it.  This recipe was inspired by this Spicy Home Fries and Eggs recipe from Livingthegourmet.com.

When I finished frying up the “Bacon Hash,” I put a fried egg (over-easy) on the top and the dinner rolls on the side. That breakfast was yummy.

This week my kid’s also got really creative with the Legos again. Creating various landmarks, such as the Eiffel Tower, The Leaning Tower of Pisa, Castel Del Monte, and the Statue of Liberty, plus a Rockstar girl with her guitar. My children are extremely creative.

My husband also tried out a cool way of removing yoke from an egg that he heard somewhere, using a common water bottle,  and it worked. It was very cool to see. My daughter wanted to try it out too and she did on the first try. Wow! Here is how.Egg Trick

Blessings for another Sunday (or whatever today is), have another awesome adventurous week with God. Feel free to share you adventures at the link party below.
