I have a lot to be proud of and talk about for Sunday Show ‘n’ Tell this week. In the midst of life’s challenges, one of the things that makes being human awesome is our creativity. I love that God gave me creativity and I love that my children are bursting from seams with creativity too.

“Creativity is putting your imagination to work, and it’s produced the most extraordinary results in human culture.Ken Robinson

This week I made a cheesecake for a second time. It was yummy and had a mixed berry sauce (black berries, strawberries, blue berries, raspberries) on the top. I used a cheesecake recipe from a Betty Crocker cookbook.

I also made more Brocolli Bites and baked Peanut-Butter-Oatmeal Cookies (using a Betty Crocker recipe, which I tweaked a bit and made my own). My husband said they were my best cookies so far and his new favorites. Along with basic peanut-butter-oatmeal cookie ingredients, I put in crushed peanuts and chopped chocolate pieces. They tasted really good. I am proud of me. Please note that my husband is the cook in our household. So these are pretty special accomplishments for me.

This week my 5 year old Lego Architect son and my artistic 8 year old daughter made some Lego Numbers and a Lego Dragon. I helped my son make this Lego Owl. Lego architecture is quite fun.

This week my daughter came and asked me for string. I said ok and she says, “I love you mom, I’m glad I have the kind of mommy who doesn’t say no about everything” and I said “remember that when I have to tell you no sometimes.” Later, she showed me her cherry kite creation and I thought to myself, I’m glad I’m that kind of mommy too.

My Kids and I made some play dough cookies today. They enjoy making the cookies into different shapes and they love the taste. This is the second time I did this activity with the kids. I found this recipe on Raising Memories blog.
