Happy Saturday (or whatever today is) and blessings to you. Welcome to the 23rd edition of TGI Saturdays. I hope you had a blessed week. My week was a good balance of rain and sunshine. Rain to water our garden (yes, I finally have a garden) and sunshine to help our plants to grow. We’ve seen some wildlife in our backyard (or neighbor’s backyard) such as birds, deer, squirrel, a possum, and we’ve even had a racoon, dig in to our trash a couple of times. We’ve had beautiful flowers grow, wither and then grow again. To some of you, this may be everyday life, but to me, this is new. A good new.
I love nature and God’s beautiful earth and I’m truly thankful to be able to experience it in this way in my own backyard. I love that you can hear the birds sing in the morning and all day long, more than you hear traffic or loud raucous music and talking in the streets. This has been a pray for me for a while. Now that this pray has been answered, I have adjust my body, mind & soul to the new world God has put me in.
I hope you have a good week ahead and whatever challenges (not problems) come your way, you remember to call on HIM for answers/guidance/help.

Homeschooling With My Crazy Energetic Two Year Old BOY! – This post caught my attention by it’s title, because that is exactly what I am trying to do right now and boy it isn’t easy. Andrea from Make This the Day offers some really useful tips here that I could truly use.
Value of a Godly Father !!! – Rebecca from Mary and Martha House, always writes wonderful, Godly, thought-provoking post that offers great inspiration and advice for a young wife and mom such as myself, that’s why I nominated her for the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers award (see above). This post is filled with lots of wisdom in loving, encouraging, respecting and valuing our husbands in the fatherhood roles.
Grandma, Make Me a Dress! – I truly love this post from Maria from Sew Travel Inspired. It made me smile and the little 5 year old model is so adorable. I love this quick stitched dress she made for her granddaughter in the short time it takes a toddler to nap. I so wish I could sew.
Memories of Longmeadow – Look at this picture of that beautiful Koi pond, I love ponds, I love water, I love fish, I love Koi. I love this post because of the beautiful pictures of a beautiful home made special for so many reasons. This is the dream I have for my family’s future. We are actually gearing up to build a pond in our back yard. I am really thankful to Michelle from Grammie Time for sharing this with us. Thank you God for your blessings on me.

Hi, Latisha! Thanks so much for featuring my post, The Blessing America Most Needs. I’m glad it encouraged you, and it’s a holy fire that’s burning even hotter in my heart after the Supreme Court ruling yesterday. We’re not living in a Christian nation, and I think it’s important that the Church in America wakes up to that fact. Thank you for helping to spread the word! :)
I was so surprised to see my picture and finding out that I was the most viewed from the link up last week! That’s AWESOME..Thanks!!!
Latisha, I can’t thank you enough for the sweet nomination for the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award. What an honor !!! I’m so humbled to share with such awesome bloggers, as yourself. I’ve found bloggers to be among the most caring and helpful people around. I get up everyday excited to share and read what has been posted. The comradery in the blogging word is a thing of beauty. I enjoyed sharing a little of myself with you and you will find the answers to your questions at http://maryandmarthashouse.com/?page_id=1967. I will be working on my nominees this week – how to choose !!! There are so many great bloggers but I will give it a shot. Thanks again and may you be blessed in all you do.
