Hello Friends,
How are you? Happy Saturday and blessings to you. I hope your Christmas season this year has been filled with joy and the making of new happy memories. I hope it smelled delicious, tasted scrumptious, looked divine, sounded majestic and felt peaceful.
It’s the last week of TGI Saturday’s “Countdown To Christmas” party. This is our 48th & 49th party combined and our last for 2015. This party will be open until December 31st, 10 am. If its God’s will we’ll be back up and running January 9th, 2016. Hope to see you in the new year. Today is (Saturday) December 19th 2015, and there is just a mere 6 days to Christmas, 5 days to Christmas eve. Speaking of which, answer these three questions for me (if you can).
1.) What are your Christmas eve family traditions?
2.) What are your Christmas day family traditions?
3.) Who will you be spending Christmas day with this year?
For me Christmas eve would be some Christmas meal prep, watching “It’s a Wonderful Life,” putting Christmas gifts under the Christmas tree and filling Christmas stockings. Our family traditions are still taking shape.
We don’t have any particular Christmas day traditions yet, other than opening gifts, every year has been different so far, so whatever doors life opens this Christmas day we’ll go in with open hearts.
I’ll be definitely spending Christmas day with my “little” family of 6, it’s most likely going to be a very quiet and simple Christmas this year. This is our first Christmas in our little sunflower (yellow) house in a new town, new state. We still don’t have any friends here and no relatives either. Not a fun thought really, but at least we got each other.
I would just like to wish you continued blessings this Christmas season and a blessed transition into 2016. Thanks for being a part of the TGI Saturdays community. Thanks for answering my Christmas questions over the past few weeks. I can’t tell you how much I’m enjoying hearing about your Christmas season. Thanks for linking up and sharing your great post week after week. The number of links this party has received the last couple of weeks has just been a blessing. Blessings, blessings, blessings to you.
Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas!
Blessings to you.
With love,

Latisha, thanks for hosting! I Christmas traditions are much like yours. We watch It’s a Wonderful Life, Christmas Story prep food and gifts for the Christmas day. I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas!
Hi Lisa and Leigh,
Thanks so much for dropping by today, linking up and sharing your Christmas eve and Christmas day traditions with me. Thanks for your Christmas wishes, to you and yours as well. Have a blessed Christmas and a blessed 2016!
We have a manger scene on the front porch. Baby Jesus doesn’t come until after midnight on Christmas! We love to eat orange rolls on Christmas morning after we open our stockings. And we get out the hymn books and sing! Merry Christmas, Latisha!
Latisha, our Christmas Eve traditions are going to the Christmas Eve service at church and then eating sugar cookies and drinking hot chocolate at home, each opening one gift. Then, we’ll put the little ones to bed and watch Christmas on Plum Creek (Little House on the Prairie :-)). It’s “traditional” to watch A Christmas Carol, but we only have a VCR this year and not a DVD player, so Christmas on Plum Creek it is! :-)
On Christmas morning, we’ll read the Christmas story, eat cinnamon buns, and then open presents and stockings. We recently moved, too–from New England to the Midwest and won’t be near our family this year–it will just be our little family of four.
I pray that you and your family have a very blessed Christmas and that you will sense and know the Lord’s presence in a very beautiful way. He has been speaking to me in the “quietness” of being away from all of my loved ones for a season–it has been lonely at times, but I have seen His hand so strongly in and through it, and I am so grateful to Him.
Much love to you, Latisha; your blog is an encouragement to me. Merry Christmas!
