Hi blessed people,
Happy Saturday and happy Valentine’s weekend to you. I hope your week was blessed and I pray many more blessings in the weeks to come. I hope you have a wonderful weekend filled with extra special love, and you take the time to thank the FATHER for all your precious loved ones, as we celebrate this season of love.
This is TGI Saturdays # 55 and the second week of a series of pre-scheduled posts I prepared well in advance to their publish date called “Saturday Inspirations.” I am doing this series because at present (Jan 19th) I’m pregnant and I’m going to have my baby very soon. That means I’m going to need to take a blogging mom maternity break. I am hoping to get back into my blogging groove by June 18th, but only God knows what the future holds.
I also hope these pre-scheduled posts are inspirational, encouraging and uplifting for you and that you enjoy reading them.
I would love it if you comment and send some positive vibes my way (encouragement, prayers, wisdom or by answering the community question below).
Thanks so much for dropping by today.
And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.
Colossians 3:14 (ESV)
I’d like to share this poem with you, written by me and entitled “Love Coat.” I hope the words in the poem come through loud and clear, but if they don’t. Here’s what they mean. They simply mean that I want love to be seen in me and through me everyday in everything I do. The coat I’m talking about here, never comes off, but radiates from my entire being.
Love Coat
I wanna wear love and joy like a coat
Covered in its essence wherever I go
I want all around me to see my glow
With the love of Jesus keeping me warm
comforting me through many a storm
With goose pimples on my skin and butterflies in my chest
Knowing that it’s God who loves me best
Knowing God’s love is unlimited love
Knowing angels are watching over me from above
Knowing my path has already been set
Knowing I still haven’t seen the best yet
Knowing I’m always taken care of
Knowing I’m always covered in God’s love

Peace, Love and Blessings to you.

We do celebrate Valentine’s Day. But usually my husband and I enjoy a candlelight dinner at home, often with our children, sometime without (which requires some creativity and cooperation from our offspring!). This year will be different however. Our 23 year old daughter is to be wed 4 weeks from today! So we are going to dinner on Valentine’s Day with her and her fiance’ and his parents. It will be a wonderful evening!
Hi Cheryl,
Thanks for your comment. That sounds like an absolutely lovely way to spend your Valentines. Congratulations on your daughter’s upcoming wedding. This is such a special time for your family. I pray many blessings for you and your daughter in all the new adventures to come.
Good Morning Latisha, Yes, we acknowledge Valentine’s Day. I like to give little treats to my children and grandchildren. My students celebrate with a class party and for my husband, well, it is his birthday on that day so it takes over. We do honor one another but he becomes the focus. I hope you are feeling well as you approach the final days of your pregnancy. Thank you for continuing to keep this party up and running for your readers. Look forward to seeing pictures of your new baby soon. Happy Valentine’s Day and a beautiful poem written. You are loved and surrounded by God’s love.
Hi Michelle,
Thank you so much for your encouraging words of love. I really do appreciate them. I hope your husband had a fantastic birthday, and you and yours had a special Valentines. All is well with me, so far so good. I’m just really ready to have this baby.
Hey Latisha,
Wishing you and your family a happy Valentines Day! Beautiful poem too.
Jenny and I will be celebrating Valentines by bringing int a babysitter and going out for ice-cream and a movie. We’re excited, as we don’t get out alone, too often. Thanks for hosting another great link-up!
Hi Jed,
Thanks for your comment today, really appreciate it. Ice cream and a movie with your love, what could be better than that. Life’s simple pleasures. I hope you guys had fun. I so appreciate the worth of having a babysitter. Our family finally got one just this Valentine’s weekend, and because of that my husband and I were able to go shopping on Saturday and lunch on Sunday without the kids. That’s very rare for us.
Latisha, How exciting! I didn’t realize you were pregnant let alone due at any time! I just lifted you, your family and your precious growing baby up to the Lord for a safe delivery and a healthy momma and baby. :-)
Your poem was so sweet, bringing much encouragement through the great character of our God and Father.
Blessings to you.
Hi Karen,
Thanks so much for your encouragement and prayers. I glad you like my poem. I hope all is well with you too.
thanks for hosting
