greetings

Saturday, Feb 20th, 2016,

Blessings to you for another Saturday of life. This is TGI Saturdays’ 56th party and its a part of my series of pre-scheduled post that I prepared way in advance to when its actually published. Why did I do that?

Well, because I’m about to embark on a journey that will take everything I’ve got and I just won’t be able to, even though super-me would love to, manage giving AskLatisha/TGI Saturdays the tlc she deserves.

So I’m filling the “Virtual Freezer” with pre-cooked post/parties so you guys could still continue to come around as usual and we could stay connected, even though we won’t be as connected as we are accustomed being. Thanks so much for coming today.

The series I’m doing here is a 4 1/2 months series of pre-scheduled post, called “Saturday Inspirations.” I love inspiring others and I hope when you come to visit, you’ll leave feeling blessed, inspired and encouraged.

Oh, by the way, the journey I was talking about, is wrapping up the end of my 6th pregnancy and delivering my 6th treasure into this world, he or she will be the 5th child that would be placed in our family’s care. One of our children God decided He’d take care of him Himself in Heaven. Pray for me and my family, that all goes well, and mom (me) and baby are in good health at the end of this road.

Despite the fact that this is a pre-scheduled post, and not current to the events of the world or my life, I’ll be still checking in on my blog to read your comments, so please feel absolutely free to drop me a line via my comment box and check out my community question below that I’d love it if you could answer.

Nothing is Impossible

I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.

Philippians 4:13 (KJV)

Have you ever heard the song “Nothing is Impossible” by Planetshakers? It became an instant favorite of mine from the time I heard it. It’s like a song version to the bible verse quoted above, which was one of the first bible verses I learned by heart as a kid and the one that sticks in my memory the most.

Take a look at these song lyrics, those are some powerful words and reminders. What are the first two words in this song? “Through You.” That’s the key, that’s what we need to remember. Through our own strength, alot of things are impossible. Truly we are fragile and our life is fleeting, and as much as we think we know, we don’t even know close to half of it. Nothing is impossible through Him. Who him? I think you know, but just in case you don’t, I’m talking about OUR Father who art in HEAVEN.

Two of my favorite lines in this song are “Strongholds are broken” and “I’m living by faith.” Then the song goes on to say “I’m not going to live by what I see, i’m not going to live by what I feel.” These lyrics are so true to how I use to live, my thoughts controlled by what I saw and felt. This created the stronghold of fear inside of me and as I continued to live this way, this stronghold grew stronger and stronger. Now I believe it can be broken and I feel them breaking, those strongholds that I forged, binding my thoughts, hands and feet over the years.

I now believe that it is way better to live by faith, than by fear.  So stop trying to live this life in your own strength. What a heavy cross to bear.

By the way, this song has an awesome beat to? Have a listen on Youtube.

I would love for you to read some of my poems on this topic:
