greetings

Saturday, May 7th, 2016

Hi everyone,

Blessings to you and I hope all is well. Welcome to the 67th week of TGI Saturdays. It’s the day before mother’s day, one of a momma’s most favorite time of year. It’s a day our family should take time to show their love and appreciation for what we do, in big or small little ways. It’s a time we momma’s get an excuse to take time out for ourselves a bit. Maybe go shopping, get our hair done, buy a new outfit, read a book, pamper ourselves. Just thinking about it is a dream.

I hope all you mommas have a blessed Mother’s Day filled with love and thankfulness. Thankfulness to God for blessing us with such a privilege as this-to be a mom.

I just want to introduce you to a guest blogger, who volunteered to write a little something on my behalf  for us mommas today. The reason being that at this time I’m on a Blogging Maternity Break and this is actually a post prepared on February 3rd, 2016 scheduled to publish May 7th, 2016.

I’d like for you all to meet Marva, from SunSPARKLEShine.com, a blogger with a sunny outlook on life, you’ve got to love her beautiful spirit. If you haven’t gotten to know this blogger as yet, please take some time to do so today. Isn’t it always a great blessing to meet a new blogger. Thank you so much, Marva for sharing with us today.

Christmas Seperation

The joys of motherhoodMany of us love Mother’s Day and with good reason. We have an entire day devoted to moms, and I love soaking it all up. We get to be recognized, honored and maybe if we’re lucky, we even get to take a break. Oh bliss!

I’d be the first to admit that motherhood is no walk in the park. And I’m not just talking the physical aspect of it either. Sure it’s hard work to keep up with a family and keep them well fed and clothed. But the emotional aspect of mothering can also be intense.

What makes mothering worth it is the joy that also comes along with it. Those warm hugs and kisses from my little ones can wipe away any boo-boo that I might have experienced during the day. Or hearing my husband, say “thank you” for something that’s supposed to be ‘my job’ also does the trick. It doesn’t take much to make this mommy happy!

I also love when someone else, not in my family takes a moment to recognize the labor of love that mothering is. That’s why we pause today to take our hats off to you, Mommy. Just in case you didn’t know it, you are a star in my book! Today we celebrate you and the awesome woman that you are! You shine!

While you’re here, we’d love to hear what your family does to help you feel appreciated, on Mother’s Day or anytime during the year. And by the way, how can you encourage another mom today?
