Hello friends,
Happy Sunday and many blessings. How are you today? Thanks for dropping by and checking out some of my little show ‘n’ tells this week. I love doing this weekly post, because it makes the little things that make me excited, even more exciting. I was thinking about this quote lately
My tree does make a sound for my family to hear, but being a blogger, gives me the opportunity for my tree to be heard by more people and I love that.
It is a blessing to be a blogger. I have been blogging for about seven years now and I have never been more excited to be a blogger than this year. I am ready to take my blog life to the next level. Anyway, enough about that, I’ll share first, then you. I would love for you to share with me the little or big things that made you excited this week or in the past. Have a blessed Sunday and don’t forget to link-up at the bottom of this post.
We have been experiencing blizzard after blizzard where we live. We have tons of snow piled 5 feet high on sidewalks, and 4 feet high in our driveway. We are having a blizzard right. I can see nothing but white outside. What a winter! Earlier this week, we took this really cool picture as best we could from through our window, with lots of black birds hanging out in this naked tree. It was a sight, especially when they all started to fly away.
I tried this new Apple Pancake recipe I saw on Pinterest or a Link-Up (can’t remember), that looked really interesting to me. I made them Friday, then Saturday again with a special Valentine’s Day breakfast. I like the idea, but I think I need more practice and I need to tweak the recipe a little bit to make it my own, but they didn’t come out too bad.
My husband cut the slices extra thin for me the second time around.
The second time I used this small skillet, and did them individually, instead of all at once on the griddle. Instead of making the batter from scratch, I used boxed pancake batter and added cinnamon.Ā I also cooked the pancake on lower heat. The apple taste is not coming out in the pancake the way I’d like it to, so I think I am going to caramelize the apples a little before I cook it in the pancake next time.
I cut out some hearts and put nice Valentine’s greetings on a nicely fixed-up kitchen table. It was a last minute thought.
The kids used the cards to make a banner for a pretend Valentine’s birthday for a little stuffed monkey named Coco. The bananas was a very highly requested element for breakfast.
Here is another one of my son’s Lego Creations.

I think the apple pancakes look good, might have to try them myself. I made sourdough pancakes and they were delicious. Thanks for sharing this at Good Morning Mondays. Blessings
Your pancakes look…. and sound…. wonderful! I hope your snow slows down soon… it does seem as if it would be nice to have spring soon. :)
Pancakes are popular around here! Yummy! We made simple quesadillas and chocolate-dipped cherries this week together! Always fun to cook in the kitchen with the kiddos!
Man, I want some pancakes now! Thanks for sharing at Totally Terrific Tuesday! Please come back again this week!
