Title: Fly Me to the Moon (3D)
Released Date: 15th August, 2008 (Theaters), 2nd December, 2008 (DVD)
Star Power: Christopher Lloyd, Nicollette Sheridan, Tim Curry, Kelly Ripa
Watched: OnDemand
Running Time: 1 hr, 29 min
MPAA Rating: G
Short Synopsis: In this 3D film; three flies amazingly easy, get to be the first bugs to take flight into space; along with American astronauts on the historic Apollo 11 in 1969.
Genre: Action/Adventure, Art/Foreign, Comedy, Kids/Family and Animation
One Word Descriptions: Interesting, Intriguing
Best: I like how it has captured a little bit of history in this film.
Worst: The story is not all that captivating. It’s missing some meat but I think it would have been great to watch in 3D and if it looked right (didn’t get to see it in 3D); then that would have made up for what the story lacked.
Favorite Quote(s): “If it ain’t an adventure it ain’t worth doing.”
“Lord of the flies, they are going to the moon!”
Relatable: Not relatable at all; except maybe for those who have experienced extraordinary, practically “impossible” things; those who have traveled to space and those who have seen their dream manifest in such an effortless manner.
Predictability: Not predictable at all. A very original story, I think.
Believability: Not believable at all, but that’s okay, it’s not suppose to be.
Actor Quality: Since we are basing that on the lent voices to these interesting characters. I’d say A+. What else could I say?
Animation Quality: The Animation quality was good. No complaints. I really wish I’d gotten to see the 3D version. That would have been something.
Funny Factor: Not funny at all
Hotie-o-meter: Definitely; this film’s hottie is the German fly Nadia; voiced by real-life hottie Nicollette Sheridan.
Audience: Children between 4 and 10 years old
Good for: To have watched in the theaters with your children (between ages 4 and 10) in 3D; it would have been an awesome family day. Did you do that?
I: I liked it; I’m sure I would have loved it if I seen it in 3D. (Did you see it in 3D, tell me what you thought about it?)
Lessons: Dream big and go for it.
Inspired: To shoot for the moon with my dreams
Discussion: Believing in your dreams and yourself; believing in and relying on your true friends and working together for a common good.
Ending Satisfaction: The ending was okay; no complaints
