Sadly, I really don’t have five friends to send this video to but if you want to be my friend, that’s cool

I am a far-cry from being an expert on anything politics but that doesn’t stop me from understanding how important and historical the upcoming elections in the U.S are going to be.

Wow, it makes me wish that I had better knowledge and understanding of political matters in America and the world. Unfortunately, I don’t really; I live in a sort of fairy-tale world; and I like surrounding myself and my thoughts with things that make me smile and happy. Not the kind of emotions that come with following the news every day and night; and being up to date on current political affairs. Like high gas prices, the economy; health care; wars, natural disasters, employment and the list goes on and on.

Politics deals with life’s issues; and boy, does life have many, many, many issues. God has ordained men and women in this world; with the kind of abilities needed to lead us and deal with these issues in the grand scheme of things. The ability to remain calm and think clearly in stressful situations, the ability to lead men and women to achieve great things as a unit as well as motivational speaking. They are not perfect but they often strive to maintain an image of perfection; because we hold them to a much higher standard than the average human being and we punish them dearly for their slip-ups. It is a great responsibility to be a public official and it’s certainly not the job for everyone and anyone. It takes the strong at heart to do this job and do it well. Kudos; to those who do it and do it well as well as those who take really good care of their constituency.

Based on what I have seen of the two men competing to be the next President of the United States. It seems really crucial that the right man is elected for the job. It seems like the thin line between falling from grace and rising to the occasion. It seems like the difference between something new, untried and unexplored; and the same ole, same ole. It seems like the difference between making history and singing the same old out of tune song. We need change; because what we were previously doing for a long time is not working out. Between these two men; I see a leader, a man of honor, pride and intellect; who stands up for what he believes; who does not falter under pressure; who will not be easily moved and who I know in my heart of hearts will make an excellent President of one of the most powerful, respected, loved and hated countries in the world. Who will be well received and respected outside of this country (U.S) as well; then I see an experienced, set in his ways old man who was and is not making the best decisions for his country but focused more on the selfish pursuit of simply winning this election at all cost (sacrificing making the best decision for America-the place I now call home).

This is my opinion based on what I have seen, heard and read. I do not have a broad understanding of politics, as I wish I did. I have so much catching up to do, if I was to try. However, I do have a brain and common-sense; and I know and trust God to put the right man in the White House. I could be wrong but I believe my candidate of choice is the right candidate for the job of cleaning up someone else’s mess. I am looking forward to witnessing history in the making. I can’t vote this time around but those who can; you better get serious about your life, future, your children’s life and future; and the future of this awesome country. An interesting and funny chat with Sharon Osbourne and Ellen that mirrors my thoughts on the Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin
