greetings

Blessings to you. Already we are heading into the third week of January and soon it will be the end of the first month of the year 2016. I hope for you, so far, your year is going well. Mine is. It has it’s challenges but it’s definitely blessed.

It’s that time of year, where not only are new year’s goals and resolutions on the brain, but now some of us are thinking up just one word to live by all year long, instead of a bunch of unattainable resolutions. For me, I still like making my list at the beginning of the year, except I don’t call them resolutions. I call it my “hopes, goals and prayers” list. A list of goals I’d like to achieve, changes I’d like to make in myself and changes in my life I’d like God to make that year. I don’t call them resolutions because these hopes, goals and prayers don’t have a deadline. I just prayer God gives me the strength and courage to do my best to obtain them, and the patience to wait in His timing, not mine.

Nevertheless, this year I didn’t make a list. When I think about one word I’d like to live by in 2016, that word is REST. Truth be told, I’m tired. I am a stay-at-home mom of four kids- 9, 6, 2, 1 and I’m about to have another baby. I’m in need of rest in more ways than one. Though I do mean rest as in “cease work or movement in order to relax, refresh oneself, or recover strength” (dictionary definition). I also mean to “be still,” and let God take the wheel, let God help me through this weary season.

I couldn’t make a list this year, even if I tried. I’m too tired, but like I said in my previous post, things will work for my good, even without me being in the driver’s seat.

Christmas Seperation

guest post

I would like to invite some of you to help me out during my new mommy season. You all know what it’s like having a new born in the house, sleepless nights, regular feedings and diaper changes, etc. Plus add that to the fact that there are 4 other children in my home whose needs also need to be met, including two little ones under 2. My husband and I’s hands are going to be extremely full. God help us.

I am currently preparing a series of pre-scheduled TGI Saturdays post for the next few months (Feb-June), while I prepare for baby’s arrival and for the first three months of baby’s life. I’ve already taken care of the first ten weeks and I’d like to invite you to guest post and fill in a spot or two the following nine weeks. I’m looking for inspirational 4-5 paragraph posts on themes like Spring (April),  Motherhood (May) and Summer (June). You can send me newly written text or old inspirational posts in need of new eyes to read them from your own blog. I’d really appreciate the help. E-mail me if you can help at latisha@asklatisha.com.

Here are the dates I’d like filled:

TGI Saturdays # 64- April 16th

TGI Saturdays # 65- April 23rd

TGI Saturday # 66- April 30th

TGI Saturday # 67-  May 7th

TGI Saturdays # 68-  May 14th
