Hi Friends,
Blessings to you and welcome to another week of TGI Saturdays, week # 58. Truly thanks for coming week after week, and thank you to those visiting for the first time. I hope you are inspired, encouraged and truly blessed today.
So here’s the real deal, this post you are reading is one I prepared about two months in advance to its published date. Why’d I do that? Well, because at this time, I’m either getting ready to have a baby, just had a baby or having a baby right now. Only the Lord knows when its truly the baby’s time to come. Nevertheless, the time is near. Say a prayer for me and my family that it all goes well. Trust me, when I say your prayers are definitely needed.
So this post you are reading, just came out of my “virtual freezer,” completely controlled by AskLatisha (the blog). It is a part of my 4 1/2 months series of scheduled post called “Saturday Inspirations,” all pre-cooked and ready to go. I hope you enjoy.
Don’t forget to leave a kind comment, I’ll be looking for those. I love hearing from you and your thoughts would be a blessing for me.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
Romans 15:13 (ESV)
I wrote a very meaningful poem in a hospital once. “Hope” was its title. I wrote this poem during a very hard season of my life (about five years ago). Still the hardest to date. It was at a time when I needed to cling to my hope more than ever, and I did, even though fear and sadness was just right around the corner. I did truly believe that God had my back and He did. My story didn’t end how I was hoping it would, nor did I receive the miracle I was hoping for. I did receive God’s peace, mercy and divine care. He gave me the strength to get through a season I never imagined I could and didn’t think I would. I’ll let my poem do the rest of the talking.
Hope
It’s amazing how you could be
surrounded by so many people
and feel so alone
It’s amazing how you could have
a place to call your own
but it doesn’t feel like home
It’s amazing how the place you are at,
isn’t where you want to be
But where you need to stay,
even though you want to flee
It’s amazing how your dreams become so real,
When you close your eyes
But when you open them again,
Your reality you despise
“I know the plans I have for you…”
is written in God’s word
“Plans to prosper you, give you hope and a future”
These words sometimes seems so blurred
Sometimes hope is so hard to find, like a needle in a haystack
Sometimes hope is the one thing you need,
when it’s the very thing you lack
Hope is a decision, sometimes a very hard one to make
It’s believing in God’s good plans for you,
No matter how much strength it takes
Believing it will all work out for your good,
even if it seems real bad
Knowing it will all turn out right and someday
you’ll be glad
That God allowed this challenge to come your way,
and pulled you through day by day
Because through it all, you really did feel,
the presence of God, so truly real
He strengthened your faith, He shaped your heart
And through it all He did his part
He showed you His love, His grace, His mercy
He made you stronger through this journey
He kept his promise, His words are true
He wants nothing but the best there is for you
He is molding you like a clump of clay
You will be a beautiful masterpiece someday
Victory is already yours, it is God’s promise
Because you had hope when life was hardest

Your poem is beautiful. Hope for me, needed most was after the birth of my third child who was born with a birth defect.
