TGI Saturdays # 83 – Busy, Busy me

Good Morning friends, how are you? I hope all is well. I’m so glad you dropped by today. I really appreciate your support of AskLatisha’s TGI Saturdays blog hop. Someday I hope to do more with my writing and this blog, but for now I’m just trying to stay on top of this season of parenthood I’m in.

Well, whenever people see us with our “Georgie Bundle” or I share with anyone that I have five children, they often say things to the effect that I must be a really busy mom. That’s not an understatement.

It’s been a while since I have felt like myself. Since I’ve been able to fully focus my thoughts without interruption or without them being pulled in too many different directions. Right now, I’m even having trouble figuring out what to write about today. I’ve got alot going on in my head and in my life. I’ve got so much to do right now, it’s overwhelming.

I’m about to embark on a new season of my life, as most of us are, as we transition from summer to autumn. If I look at everything that’s ahead as one big chunk, it looks like too much to manage, but if I look at only pieces at a time, and I only deal with one thing at a time. I know what will be will be and I’ll get it done.

MY34BDAYCAKEThis was my second summer in my “sunflower house,” it was a good summer with lots of happy big changes to our life’s dynamics. My daughter just entered the double digits (turned 10), and I celebrated my 34th birthday a week ago. I had a lovely birthday by the way. We went to our new church, which I love, then the beach (it was hot), then I came home and decorated my own birthday cake (I wanted to) and later my husband made me a very romantic dinner (Lamb chops, Asparagus, garlic & onion potatoes- it was delicious). I’m blessed.

I’m looking forward to our second Autumn here. It will be better than last year. I feel it.

So anyway, I pray continued blessings for us all. Life’s tough, but in very many ways it is also wonderful. Have a great weekend and a blessed week ahead. See you next Saturday.

Peace, Love and Blessings to you.

I hope back-to-school season goes well for you all, and Happy Birthday! Making lists helps me – if I get all the swirl out of my head and onto paper, then I can figure out the priorities and how to tackle one thing at a time. I just got a new planner to try that method. I think it might calm me!

    Hey Latisha,
Happy Saturday! I can relate to the business. There are many days I feel the pressure of all that needs to be done, and have to force myself to tackle one small task at a time. Usually momentum builds as I get going, but getting started can be difficult. Thanks for reminding me that I’m not the only one in an incredibly busy season of life. It’s nice to know that others are moving at top-speed with me :)
